NYC - Rabbit Finisher Poster

Fall 2025 - Adobe illustrator & ProCreate

Commissioned by rabbit to design the finisher posters for the New York City Marathon. Work used in their pop-up store on the electric day of the race.

This piece was inspired by the power and energy of both running and the city of New York. I wanted to capture that mix of grit, movement, and empowerment that every runner feels when taking on 26.2 miles through the city.

The design draws from Constructivism — a style known for its strength, motion, and bold geometry. The radiating, star-like forms are abstracted from the crown of the Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom and resilience. It also felt like a subtle nod to the strong feminine spirit at the heart of Rabbit Running, a women-founded brand.

The color palette — orange, navy, and white — comes from the NYC flag, rooting the work in place. I wanted the orange to feel energizing, echoing the heat and pace of the city. The custom serif typeface was created using traditional methods of woodblock printing, giving each letter texture and imperfection — human, individual, and raw, much like the experience of racing.

Hidden details like the finish line zip code and a small apple icon celebrate the city itself. As both an artist and a middle-distance runner, this piece translates rhythm, repetition, and momentum into visual form — a reflection of the city’s pulse and every runner’s journey.
